Zimbra has an excellent library of Help and video tutorials to get you started. Zimbra is currently updating their YouTube library of Getting Started Videos.
NOTE: UNA does not utilize or activate all of the functions you may see in the Zimbra Wiki or Help videos. Some functions will not be available to you.
Zimbra’s Help and video tutorials are the best and most extensive resource for Help. You can also check their abbreviated YouTube playlist for their current Tips & Tricks: Zimbra YouTube Tips Playlist, be aware that it is not as extensive.

What’s new with Zimbra and how we recommend Local Execs work
- There will no longer be a conference folder for each local. Each local will now have a shared mailbox and calendar. When using the shared mailbox, once someone reads the email, it will no longer show up as a new email for others. Our recommendation is Local Executives set up a filing structure, with explicit ‘To-do’ folders for each of the Execs. As messages come in, they are either dealt with entirely and filed or moved to the appropriate person’s ‘To-do’ folder so they can easily see new messages.
- You cannot view the history of the message, for example, if it’s been read, who read it and when it was read.
- You cannot ‘unsend a message.’
- You will be able to, in addition to the webmail client, use standalone email clients such as Mail and Calendar on your Mobile device, iPhone or iPad and Android phone and tablets. You do not have to use a ‘special’ App. Instructions on configuring your phone can be found below:
